About the Centre

Lakeview Surgery Centre, set on the beautiful shores of Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, had its grand opening on May 27, 2009. Dr. Emad Guirguis, a practicing general surgeon for 17 years, had a vision to build a surgery centre of excellence surrounded by the serenity of the lake and nature.

The centre was designed to meet the high accreditation standards of the Canadian Association of Accredited Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (CAAASF). From its inception, attention was paid to minute details to achieve the highest standards of surgical care available. Consultation with numerous experienced professionals were obtained throughout the project, including renowned architects and engineers specializing in health care facility design. Details such as state-of-the-art air purification and ventilation systems, comprehensive sterilization technology, and the medical industry's highest quality equipment and instruments were incorporated into Lakeview Surgery Centre's design.
